Military Technology Innovation Methodology
Our innovation approach includes several key focal points:
1. Technology Re-evaluation: Our Business Development (BD) team continuously explores existing military display technologies and their applications. We revisit the problems these technologies were initially designed to solve or the capabilities they provided, asking ourselves, "If we were to solve that problem now with the knowledge we have now, how would we do it?" This approach ensures that we not only improve existing solutions but also create novel and more effective ones.
2. Current Conflict Analysis: By studying current global conflicts using open-source information, we gain insights into the contemporary challenges faced by modern troops. This helps us identify capability gaps and generate ideas for new products or solutions. We then present these ideas to our working group, seeking feedback from subject matter experts and active service members before moving into development.
3. Horizon Scanning: Our head of emerging technology constantly scans the entire electronics industry, covering various verticals such as automotive and medical sectors, to identify developments that can be adapted for defence applications. This proactive approach allows us to integrate cutting-edge technologies from diverse fields into our defence solutions.
4. New Display Technology: Displays are a core aspect of our business. We continually review new display technologies as they enter the market and explore their potential within our tactical display offerings. This ensures that our products remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
