Case Study
Illustrating our dedication to bespoke solutions, KME was tasked with replacing an end-of-life driver display concurrently with driving camera upgrades for armoured vehicles.
This necessitated a custom-built solution meeting stringent space constraints and demanding latency requirements. Our comprehensive approach began with a Systems Requirements Review (SRR), followed by a meticulous compliance matrix assessment to ensure alignment with customer specifications. Collaboratively, we finalised the design approach, presenting mechanical outlines and electronic design intent at a Preliminary Design Review (PDR).
On agreement of the design, we orchestrated electronic kitting and custom PCB manufacturing, culminating in prototype assembly and performance validation at our Rochester, Kent facility.
Next we conducted a CDR which included every element of the design ahead of the production before transitioning to prototype testing in the customer's laboratory.
Upon successful validation and FMEA analysis, environmental qualification proceeded seamlessly and the displays we delivered in 16 weeks, qualification was completed some 5 weeks later.
